Seeing the world through God's eyes |
Jesca means God sees. I want to see the world the way God sees it. I want all that I do to be pleasing in God's eyes. I pray that I'll do things only for the eyes of One. And I want to remember that God always always always always looks after me, this daughter of His. Let's take this journey of being God's eyes together :) Ephesians 1:18-20 I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be englightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms. |
You see, if there are people who still visit this place, is that I am unsatisfied. And despite hearing that yeah there had been some changes and whatsoever, I still hear people talking about the same old problems.
You guys never realize, just HOW MUCH YOU HAVE EMPHASIZED ON WHAT WE AS FOLLOWERS SHOULD HAVE DONE. but do you ever ever realize that’s not the main thing? the main thing is, WHAT HAS BEEN DONE FOR US. that makes us want to follow. or let’s make things explicit. WHAT FREAKING JESUS HAS DONE!
We don’t need to be right, unless and until we see that God loves and multiplies in our righteousness. Else, what are we trying to be right for? For people to see?
We don’t need to be friendly, unless and until we see that God loves to see us fellowship and God can put words in our mouths to bring people into His Kingdom better when accompanied with that extra effort from us. Else, what are we trying to be friendly for? For people to call us saints? or even, hypocrites? or just a happy bunch of kids?
Don’t you ever realize how much you make people doubt who they are? what they do? why they need to answer?
Forever killing souls.
i see that so often in my sisters’ lives. but they never understand me. why i chose what i chose.

If there’s one last thing to pray about….
I pray that God you’ll continue to love your people and protect all of them, despite any and every thing….

I’m clearing christian literature books in my drawer.
I have quite a number of them. Let me know if you want them.
1. Spiritual Leadership by J.Oswald Sanders
great book for aspiring leaders who want to learn more about what leadership really means and the art of delegation. its good also if you’re interested in Nehemiah. This is a gift so I can’t give it away. definitely willing to lend out though!
2. Good News New Testament
its a thin book with diagrams and pictures and maps. the front parts have the bridge diagram etc too and easy reference to some verses for some topics or whatever you’re going through. great to pass on to new believers for them to read. its kinda like the youth’s new believers’ pack.
3. The faith crisis by Ronald Dunn
I haven’t read this book but the cover says this: What faith is, what it isn’t and why it doesn’t always do what you want it to do.
4. Desert to Destiny (The daughters of Zelophehad) by Wendy Yapp
This book provides an insight to each and every of the daughters of Zelophehad who aren’t mentioned much in the Bible. It talks abit about family and taking the new land. Actually, I didn’t finish this book also la. haha. but I think it’ll be good for sisters. But then again, this is actually a gift from someone so as much as possible, I try to keep this book. If you’re interested, I can lend out though!
5. Love Beyond Reason by John Ortberg
This is one book I wrote some small notes inside on the post-sticks. But I think some dropped off. Its a great book that gives alot of analogies with alot of questions to get you thinking. especially good if you think you’re stuck in your own world. If you love analogies like me, this book will be awesome for you.
6. Where is God when it hurts by Philip Yancey
This is one of the first few books I read when I was a new-believer. The beginning may be kinda long-winded talking about why there is a need to have pain in the world. Or rather, for you to understand that pain is, indeed, very important. So if you’ve been wondering why God allows pain, why God even created such a feeling and emotion, this could be a good read.
7. Holy Discontent by Bill Hybels
Unfortunately, I only read the first few chapters of this book despite it being a really thin one. I guess it kinda talks about a personal vision. Its seperated into 3 sections: Where to find your Holy Discontent, How to develop your Holy Discontent and The Key to keeping your Holy Discontent alive.
8. The 21 Indispensable qualities of a leader by John C. Maxwell
Well, this is a John C. Maxwell book so be prepared to be bombarded. This is one book that can make you think in every single chapter. Whenever we talk about leadership, books usually tell us about skills and this book title seems like so too. But no, it essentially talks about how a leader is naturally a leader. And a leader is not exactly because he chose to lead. Rather, its because the leader makes people want to follow. Talks alot about self.
9. Difficulties in the Bible by R. A. Torrey
If I’m not wrong, this is a famous writer too. I haven’t read this book but my guess is this book helps debunk lots of doubts that many are confused about in the Bible. eg. Was the fish that swallowed Jonah a whale? How could God command Abraham to sacrifice Isaac? Is there another opportunity for salvation after we die? Where did Cain get his wife? Did Jesus comment unjust steward? Does the Bible contradict itself? Does God change his mind? (these questions were at the back of the book) This is the kind of book I’ll introduce to Ian or to Weikai at a later stage if you know what I mean.
10. The Coming World Revival by Robert E. Coleman
I haven’t got the chance to read this too. Its a pretty small thin book. Hmm… basically, revival. haha.
11. Battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer
If you’ve been fighting with pessimism or any persistent thoughts, this is one book for you. Manage your thoughts as well. The good thing about this book is it has quite a lot of references to Bible verses and that’s important. If you think that God doesn’t talk much about the mind, you’re wrong. The mind is very important.
12. Bible (2 of them)
1 is the usual soft cover. the other is a hard cover one. looks kinda like those small dictionaries with the string as bookmark. I think its my friend who passed it to me. Anyway, it has pictures. =)
13. Fresh Encounter by Henry T. Blackaby and Claude V. King.
I read only 1/3 of this book. but its pretty interesting. There’s always a summary and questions part at the end of every chapter to ponder on. Its actually good if you ponder on a chapter for the whole week before you start on a new chapter. That’s what I think. But of cos, you can read faster la. haha. But hmm, this is also a gift.. so same thing, I try to keep it. definitely willing to lend out.
14. I kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris
This is a famous book. I don’t think I need to elaborate much. But just to debunk misunderstandings, this book doesn’t try to psycho you to be single. It tells you about the difference between dating and relationship. It also talks alot about your personal relationship with God. So if you want to set your mindsets right, get it right with God first.
15. (A daily guide) Praying the Names of Jesus by Ann Spangler
26 names were given in the Bible to describe Jesus. If you’re interested in knowing the different ‘faces’ of God, this might be interesting. It tells you about the name, where its found in the Bible, understanding about the name and then there are some questions to ponder on as well. That’s for Monday. The rest of the days of the week will be some articles that prompt you to pray about the name, or rather, I would say character of Jesus. Its actually abit like Bible Study.
16. Her name is Woman (Book 2) by Gien Karssen
Sorry I don’t have the rest of the books cos I bought it at Hope Book Fair or some sorts. Each chapter explains each female character. They seperated Old Testament and New Testament’s ones so maybe if you read through a passage about a character, can refer back to this book to understand and discover more. Another good read for sisters.
Actually, I think I have more.. just don’t know where I hid them…. Let me know if you want them. pass to you. Some are quite old so… bear with it?
this is one song that kept ringing in my head since months ago. i think i even choreographed a dance for for it, that i only remember parts and pieces of it…
Everlasting.

=)
Sorry that I didn’t bring you a present. but I bring you my presence.. =)
Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path that they cannot return to the right one. Never has anyone become so wayward that they cannot benefit from the true light.
I think I really needed to know this!
Joel told me this exact same thing about 4 months ago. (man, time flies!) Thanks for reminding me again, oh Father.

“Because”
Just because no one has been fortunate enough to
realize what a gold mine you are,
Doesn’t mean you shine less
Just because no one has been smart enough to figure out
that you can’t be topped,
Doesn’t stop you from being the best.
Just because no one has come along to share your life,
Doesn’t mean that day isn’t coming.
Just because no one has made this race worthwhile,
Doesn’t give you permission to stop running.
Just because no one has realized how much of an
awesome woman you are,
Doesn’t mean they can affect your femininity.
Just because no one has shown up who can love you on
your level, Doesn’t mean you have to sink to theirs.
Just because you deserve the very best there is,
Doesn’t mean that life is always fair.
Just because God is still preparing your king,
Doesn’t mean that you’re not already a Queen.
Just because your situation doesn’t seem to be progressing right now, Doesn’t mean you need to change a thing.
Keep shining, keep running, keep hoping, and keep praying,
Keep being exactly what you are already. COMPLETE!!

I have to say,
I think I’m engineered to be a follower.
I make a good side pillar.
I’m living in the 2nd best (may not be FOR the 2nd best) but I’m loving it.
Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path...
